The Draft Season 1

Just wondering if anyone has any kind of idea yet what time the draft will be? Not the date, but the time. I know we have alot of us from all around the world.

This year your pick is autopicked for you if not present at the draft, commissioner cannot select for you. Saying this, if I weren't able to make the draft I'd much rather trade my picks away then put my trust in EA's hands.

This could be an issue, especially because the fuckin EA disabled the opportunity for the COmmish to pick for the absents...(someone still think that XFN was not so necessary?)

Best time to arrange, in past experience is in the week end at 3 pm EST...7 am (Sidney), 9 pm (Europe)

I wonder if during draft someone will be disconnected.... and CPU will choose for them

Yeah, just did my 2nd draft this year last night. On the whole I really do like it, makes scouting worth it, seems to be value in every round, even late, but taking away the commissioner power to be able to draft for someone is really dumb.

My advice for anyone who doesn't think they can make the draft, scout heavily the positions you want and in particular players you may want. It autopicks for you based on Team Needs and who you have scouted most. Mostly the feedback from the CPU picking has been bad to be honest lol. I know one team it selected OL every single pick except one. And the OL wasn't even that bad already.

Tough thing is getting 32 of us here at once, especially here with all of us spread around the world, so I think getting at least a solid time slot together would help, cause at least if you can't make the draft you may want to trade your picks away and at least get some actual players you like.

Should we schedule it for Nov 24th now. This will give a week to handle the playoffs, if we are diligent we can do it!

But I think the Sunday/Monday (Aussies) is better, at least most people are around to watch the games on Sunday.

3pm EST on a Saturday (US) works perfect for me.

So what do people think about November 24th at 3pm EST?

Also if people have picks and can't make the draft, it would be possible to trade them to someone trustworthy and give them a list, let them pick for you and then trade for the rookies after. It will have a cap hit but it wouldn't be huge (I think).

I think we all (most of all) agree on the time 3pm EST. I can anticipate will surely be on sunday or saturday. We have only to decide when 24-25 november or 1-2 december

Yes I agree with Bretty, especially considering all the offseason tasks. 3 "days" of FA bidding alone.

2 options I've seen are A)trusting someone else in the league to your sign-in info, giving them a draftboard and having them log in to make your pick then log out and log back in for themselves to make their pick. Busy for somebody but it does work. B) is having a non league person sign in and draft for you. Of course they would need to be familiar with Madden somewhat I would think. Trading would work but the Cap hits are obvious problems, not sure offhand what they're like. Past years the commish could adjust the cap but not '13.

24-25 november won't work for me and listen to RV he did this in another lg lets move asap but be smart and enjoy the playoffs and offseason.
